83% Perfect

83% Perfect is a fable about OhNo, a baby burdened with a nightmare, who makes friends with OhYes and OhMaybe, both of whom have their own nightmares. They struggle to remain friends in a world full of economists, chatbots, teachers, and statistics about death.

The story is based on my earliest memories of education and competition, transposed onto how universities, over the past couple of years, have repressed and punished students for expressing grief, rage, and the need for radical change.

Like a children’s book about the appeal of compliance and the necessity of solidarity. It has a hole drilled into the very centre.
